Purchasing Manager
Location: Warszawa, ul. Bema 83
Responsibilities:
This person will work with an international cross functional team to analyze technical requirements, identify suitable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ultimately secure reliable, cost competitive and high-quality materials and service to meet MPS project timelines and budget. This role extends beyond a buyer or sourcing agent. This person works closely with Program Management and Engineering departments to acquire materials and services which are strategically important for MPS future growth.

More details about the Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market research and data collection in various regions, including but not limited to Europe, India, Turkey and North Africa with primarily focus on aftermarket auto parts for passenger and commercial vehicles to support MPS global footprint strategy.
  • Search and develop potential suppliers for assigned commodities and categories in various regions, ensure that MPS’ goals of product development and quality are achieved.
  • Send Request for Quote (RFQ), and analyzing total cost of ownership (cost, supplier qualification, freight, tariff etc.) to determine best course of action.
  • Analyze cost proposals including the elements of cost, i.e., raw material, direct labor, overhead, and general and administrative rates.
  • Audit suppliers, conduct risk analyzes and make recommendations.
  • Work with global cross- functional teams to assist onboarding suppliers in various regions.
  • Evaluate supplier performance regularly and work collaboratively to address any performance issues.
  • Partner with Quality department to ensure the purchased materials and services meet all necessary quality standards.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with suppliers in assigned regions for long-term partnership.
  • Manage supplier contracts and agreements, ensuring they meet all MPS contractual requirements.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Global Sourcing, Supplier Quality Engineer, or Commodity Management of multinational companies, preferably in the automotive or mechanical/electrical equipment field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering. Supply chain management with an engineering background is preferred.
  • International and domestic travel is required to identify, evaluate, and manage global suppliers in assigned regions, minimum 4 times a year.
  • Experience in supplier assessment and selection.
  • Good knowledge of the IATF16949 standard, interpretation of drawings & PCB schematic.
  • Ability to consolidate, analyze and effectively communicate complex data.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Ability to think through both tangible (holistic supply chain cost) and intangible (future value of supplier relationship) factors in making decisions.
  • Fluent in English
